"Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

The stem taking a precarious foothold…
And clinging to its memories
A leaf or petal
Curled so slightly from thirst
it reaches….
...
We follow veins, the skin with spine
along the twists and intertwine
of being
wanting more and more…
tendrils creep and climb
The impermeable mortar
the harrowing condition of lost time
searching....
for a variegated self
before the rains and winds of fall
remove all evidence
